We are a small, friendly, family sailing club based on the River Thames at Staines.
Organised club racing takes place on Sunday afternoons from April through to the end of October, with casual sailing thereafter, for as long as conditions allow. The club is also open for casual sailing on Wednesday evenings during the summer months. We also hold an open day each year where the general public can come and experience the joy of sailing, known as HAVE A GO DAY.
As we are a Thames based club, members may sail from the club's premises at any time, however, facilities are only available at the above times. Any class of boat with a Portsmouth Yardstick may race at Staines, but Enterprises, Lasers, British Moths, National 12's and Wayfarers are the most commonly sailed classes.
Our social side is just as active and many events are held throughout the year. Members can enjoy BBQ's, Barn dances, Fitting Out and Laying Up Suppers, a Christmas and New Year's eve party and plenty of drinking!
