Racing takes place on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons. We have
one race which starts at 2.30pm. Our racing calendar is split into
5 series with many other one day events, spread throughout the year. Our
racing calendar consists of:
Early series held over 4 races
Early Summer series held over 6 races
Mid Summer series held over 6 races
Pursuit series held over 6 races
Late series held over 6 races
Bank holiday series held over 4 races (On Bank Holiday Mondays)
In addition there are a number of one day events. These are sailed
over 3 races with the first start at 11.00am. There is a trophy
awarded at the end of the day. Events consist of:
Charity Race. Sailed in aid of the RNLI. There is
an entry fee for this event.
Felgate Cup. No entry fee.
Bundy Cup. No entry fee. Sailed over one race starting
at 2.30pm. This is our Marathon race, which takes in our entire
reach of the Thames.
Anonymous Cup. No entry fee.
Throughout the year we have a number of open events where sailors from
other clubs come and join us. Events include:
Middle Thames Trophy. Race event between Staines SC, Laleham
SC and Desborough SC. Venue alternates between the three clubs.
Maitland Trophy. Race event between Staines SC and Laleham
SC. Venue alternates between the two clubs.
British Moth Open. Entry fee applies. Open to members
of the British Moth Boat Association.
